Tasting notes
A truly hand crafted malt, Edradour is golden in the glass, with a delicious aroma of sugared
almonds and a hint of Oloroso. The smooth, creamy, light malty taste is followed by a mellow warming
finish.
But don't take our word for it. World-reknowned whisky expert, Michael Jackson,
in his book "Michael Jackson's Malt Whisky Companion. A Connoisseur's guide to the malt whiskies
of Scotland" (Michael Jackson, 1989, published by Dorling Kindersley Limited, 1989 pg79) scores
the ten year old Edradour an excellent 81 points out of 100. His tasting notes are as follows:
| Colour | Full golden |
| Nose | Peppermint, sugared almond, hint of sherry, spicy-smoky notes. |
| Body | Remarkably creamy texture for a relatively light malt |
| Palate | Minty-clean, creamy, malty |
| Finish | Mellow, warming |
